Ericsson 1
Ericsson 1 participated in the Volvo Ocean Race 2005-2006 under the Ericsson flag and finished in 5th place.
She is designed by Bruce Farr according to the Volvo Ocean 70-rule.
These days Ericsson 1 has a busy schedule sailing with Ericsson's customers around the globe. From June-September 2007, Ericsson's Nordic and Baltic markets had the pleasure of being visited by Ericsson 1 during their customer sailing tour. The theme of the tour was Multimedia and partnership, as this was also the first time that Sony, Sony Ericsson and Ericsson jointly presented their products and services in an end-to-end seminar. A successful concept that is now being spread onto other markets.
From October and onwards, Ericsson 1 is touring Europe for more customer and media activities.
