Fix the gear, feed the lads, mend the sails – A portable base, ready to travel

Along the harbor quay in Puerto Calero, Lanzarote is the team base – a mirror of what will be sent to each race destination around the world. It holds everything necessary for the best possible shore support. The facilities include a doctor’s office, weather station, a full kitchen in its own 40-foot container, a workshop equipped with a lathe and milling machine, and a full sail loft.

The foot-print for this entire package is 12 x 48 meters, not including the boats hauled out in their cradles. This base for the sailing and shore crew will be complemented at each destination by the pavilion, which is Ericsson’s outward face and hospitality center for customer meetings, demos and seminars.
